Reaching Out

We recognise the importance of mental health and the impact it can have on a person’s overall well-being. We offer an outreach service specifically for youth aged 16-26 and beyond — providing resources to address mental health needs, promote a healthy and positive mindset, and break down the stigma surrounding mental health.

Our mission is to break the taboo surrounding mental health and promote a positive and open conversation about it. By educating and reinforcing the message that seeking help is a sign of strength, we hope to build a community where mental health is prioritised — where those in need feel comfortable reaching out for support.

To provide comprehensive support, we work closely with mental health professionals to ensure that the youth in our community receive the best care possible. Our outreach service is staffed by knowledgeable and compassionate individuals who are dedicated to helping young people build resilience and overcome mental health challenges. Together, we strive to create a world where mental health is given the attention it deserves.

Join us in breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health and creating a better future for the next generation.

Crossroads Mentorship Program

Disengagement from education, social and emotional challenges such as racial discrimination, substance abuse and criminal activity are just some of the issues faced by migrant and refugee youth.

Our mentoring program works with young migrants to address complex social and behavioural challenges and helps to foster positive lifestyle habits.

This program aims to:

  • Help young adults to make a fresh start in life
  • Promote self-discovery and build self determination
  • Intervene in a timely manner and change offending behavioural patterns
  • Help decrease contact with the justice system through timely intervention
  • Build relationships with and work with relevant agencies to help young adults

A Welcoming Place

We provide a welcoming and culturally-centred space for young adults, fostering a sense of belonging and investment in the community.

This program:

  • Offers creative outlets such as music, photography, cooking (BBQ), as well as activities like pool and video gaming.
  • Aims to promote positive self-image, and address the stigma that often surrounds migrant and refugee youth, particularly those who are at risk.
  • Promotes inclusiveness and understanding through community outreach programs such as TV, radio, and sports events, changing public perception of migrant and refugee young adults.
